# AI film festival submission pack

BTW working template · checked 6 September 2026
Our suggested structure, not an official submission form or a guarantee of eligibility or acceptance. Adapt it to the selected programme's current rules; export a PDF yourself where requested.

## Choose the edition first

- WAIFF Cannes 2026: the official competition page says submissions are closed. Do not assume its rules apply to another call.
- AAIFF 2026: published registration window ends 7 September 2026. The cited terms do not specify a closing hour or timezone; check with the organiser and current form.
- Tribeca: select the actual programme and edition. General 2026 rights terms do not establish an open AI call.

## Fictional example: one pipeline entry

No real film, rights clearance or submission is represented here.

- Film/version: Glass Morning / master-v03.mp4, 3:20
- Intended edition/section: AAIFF 2026, Open Competition; eligibility not yet confirmed
- Shot: SH010, final-cut timecode 00:42–00:48
- Contribution: generated pavilion movement from a supplied still, then trimmed and graded by the editor
- Tool/model: Google Flow / Veo; exact model variant unknown
- Inputs/output: REF-01-pavilion.png + saved prompt → SH010-take03.mp4 → master-v03.mp4
- Human credit: Example Director selected take 03; Example Editor trimmed and graded it
- Permission: REF-01 commercial-use licence unresolved; producer to review
- Delivery: English subtitles not yet checked; link access not yet tested
- Entry status: not submitted; no receipt

## Blank pack

1. **Entry identity:** festival / edition / section / rules URL / checked date / deadline and timezone as published / eligibility decision and owner.
2. **Film:** title / synopsis / duration / aspect ratio / exact final filename and version.
3. **Tools and models:** actual name / version if known / role in production. Do not add unused tools to meet a minimum.
4. **Pipeline:** input → generation → chosen output → human edits → final-cut timecode. Repeat the example structure for representative shots.
5. **Human contribution:** named contributor / actual work / credit as it will appear.
6. **Rights and permissions:** source file or contribution / licence, release or terms location / allowed use / unresolved issue / owner.
7. **Disclosure:** what was generated, filmed, licensed and edited / text supplied to the actual entry form.
8. **Delivery and receipt:** subtitle check / host and access test / exact export / submitter / submission time / receipt location. Leave status “not submitted” until confirmed.

## Edition-specific final check

- WAIFF: only use when an applicable call is open; check its production PDF, tool minimum and selected category's format.
- AAIFF 2026: confirm section, minimum duration, integral AI use, model/pipeline disclosure, credits and rights; verify embedded English subtitles and link access. A YouTube entry needs #SpecialForAAIFF in its description.
- Other programmes: replace this checklist with their published fields; a production log does not complete their submission.
